Oct 27 (Reuters) - Canadian financial services company
Wealthsimple said on Monday it raised C$750 million ($534.80
million) in its latest funding round, which raised its valuation
to C$10 billion.
The funding round was led by Dragoneer Investment Group and
GIC and included participation from Canada Pension Plan
Investment Board, Power Corporation of Canada ( PWCDF ), IGM
Financial ( IGIFF ), ICONIQ, Greylock and Meritech.
Wealthsimple said the funding round will help accelerate its
roadmap across investing, spending and credit and support
strategic opportunities to expand its platform.
The Toronto-based company has helped make stock trading,
peer-to-peer money transfers and tax filing easily accessible.
The firm doubled its assets under administration to C$100
billion in 2025 from last year.
