Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $1.65.

Revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 was $1.41 billion, up from $1.31 billion a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $1.42 billion.

The energy services company's board maintained its quarterly cash dividend at $0.25 per share, payable on Dec. 5 to shareholders of record as of Nov. 6.

Shares of the company were up nearly 5% in recent after-hours activity.
