12:47 PM EDT, 06/27/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Webtoon Entertainment (WBTN) shares rose in their debut on Nasdaq Thursday after the company priced its initial public offering of 15 million shares at $21 per share.

The stock was up about 6.8% at $22.43 in recent trading after opening at $21.30.

The company is offering its underwriters, including Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley, an option to buy up to an additional 2.25 million shares. The offering to raise about $315 million is expected to close Friday.
