04:42 PM EDT, 04/16/2024 (MT Newswires) -- WELL Health Clinic Network, a subsidiary of WELL Health Technologies ( WHTCF ) , a digital healthcare company, on Tuesday said it agreed to acquire 10 primary-care medical clinics from Shoppers Drug Mart. (L.TO) for an undisclosed price.

WELL Health ( WHTCF ) said the clinics are operated by Shoppers under the name 'The Health Clinic by Shoppers', and are comprised of 10 clinics, four in British Columbia and six in Ontario, with over 35 physicians on staff.

Post-close, WELL will rebrand these clinics under the WELL Clinic brand, a statement noted.

WELL expects the clinics to contribute approximately C$8 million in annual revenue.

The company's shares closed down C$0.01 to C$3.50 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
