NEW YORK, Oct 8 (Reuters) - Wells Fargo ( WFC )
appointed Elena Gallo to lead its government banking business,
the bank said in a statement on Tuesday.
In her new role, Gallo, who joined Wells Fargo ( WFC ) in 2003, will
provide banking services for state and local governments and
related entities.
The division serves more than 3,000 government agencies,
public utilities, transportation and housing authorities in 43
states.
Gallo succeeds Mara Holley, who is retiring after leading
the business since 2015.
The fourth-largest U.S. lender will report its third quarter
earnings on Friday.
