Wells Fargo Plans to Name Chief Executive Charlie Scharf as Chair

05:36 AM EDT, 08/01/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Wells Fargo ( WFC ) said late Thursday its board plans to name Chief Executive Charlie Scharf as chairman.

Following the appointment, the board intends to appoint a lead independent director, the company said.

Steven Black is the current chairman of the Wells Fargo ( WFC ) board.
