Wendy's Shares Fall After Q2 Adjusted Earnings, Revenue Miss Analysts' Estimates

10:38 AM EDT, 08/01/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Wendy's (WEN) shares were down 2% in recent Thursday trading after the company's Q2 adjusted earnings and revenue missed analysts' estimates.

The company reported Q2 adjusted earnings Thursday of $0.27 per diluted share, down from $0.28 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $0.28.

Revenue for the quarter ended June 30 was $570.7 million, up from $561.6 million a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $576.8 million.

The company said it still expects 2024 adjusted earnings between $0.98 and $1.02 per share. Analysts polled by Capital IQ expect $0.99.
