WeRide Enters Slovakia With First Autonomous Vehicle Program

04:02 AM EDT, 03/19/2026 (MT Newswires) -- WeRide ( WRD ) said Thursday that it has entered Slovakia through a partnership with Elevate Slovakia, launching the country's first autonomous vehicle program.

The company said the move expands its presence in Europe, following its operations in France, Belgium, and Switzerland.

WeRide ( WRD ) said it plans to deploy vehicles, including robotaxis, buses, and delivery vans, in the country in spring 2026, with initial testing set to begin in Bratislava in the first half of 2026, before expanding to Kosice and the High Tatras.
