10:40 AM EDT, 04/30/2025 (MT Newswires) -- WeRide ( WRD ) said Wednesday it received the first batch of driverless road-testing licenses from the Nansha District in Guangzhou, China.
The approval allows WeRide ( WRD ) to test its Robovan W5 on public roads without a safety driver. The vehicle is designed for urban freight, and the company plans to expand autonomous logistics operations.
Shares of WeRide ( WRD ) were down 3.5% in recent trading.
