03:46 AM EST, 11/13/2025 (MT Newswires) -- WeRide ( WRD ) and Grab (GRAB) said Thursday they have received approval from Singapore's Land Transport Authority to carry out autonomous vehicle testing with the Autonomously Intelligent Ride fleet in the Punggol district.

The companies said they launched their first autonomous vehicle testing in Punggol last month, and intend to increase the total number of test runs by up to four times by the end of 2025.

There will be safety operators onboard during the testing and initial rollout of public rides, which are expected to commence by early 2026, WeRide ( WRD ) and Grab said.

The Autonomously Intelligent Ride fleet is operated by Grab in collaboration with WeRide ( WRD ).
