WeRide Robotaxi Gets Driverless Permit in Switzerland; Shares Up Pre-Bell

05:30 AM EST, 11/20/2025 (MT Newswires) -- WeRide ( WRD ) said Thursday it has received a driverless permit from Switzerland's Federal Roads Office, approving its Robotaxi to operate autonomously on public roads in the Furttal region.

The vehicles will serve a 110-kilometer operating area with approximately 460 stops, operating at speeds of up to 80 km/h.

WeRide ( WRD ) said it expects to launch a fully driverless public passenger service in H1 2026, with plans to expand the fleet to include Robobuses.

The company's shares were up 3.8% in recent premarket activity.
