WeRide Says Robobus Gets Level 4 Permit in Belgium

07:42 AM EDT, 09/19/2025 (MT Newswires) -- WeRide ( WRD ) said Friday its Robobus received a test permit in Belgium for a level 4 autonomous shuttle, allowing it testing on public roads.

The service will be run in partnership with public transport operator De Lijn, the Leuven city, and mobility consultancy Espaces-Mobilites.

Upon the completion of testing, De Lijn will operate a pilot autonomous shuttle service along an 8-kilometer route from the middle of November through January 2026, the company said.
