06:13 AM EDT, 05/21/2025 (MT Newswires) -- WeRide ( WRD ) said Wednesday that it will expand its robotaxi services to 15 more cities through an extended partnership with Uber ( UBER ) , following deployments in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

The deal includes a $100 million equity investment from Uber ( UBER ), with WeRide's ( WRD ) vehicles integrated into the Uber ( UBER ) app and Uber ( UBER ) handling local fleet operations, WeRide ( WRD ) said.

WeRide ( WRD ) also said it launched 24-hour robotaxi routes across central Guangzhou, making it China's first 24-hour autonomous ride-hailing network.

WeRide ( WRD ) began driverless testing in Abu Dhabi and introduced its first paid robobus route in Guangzhou, while expanding internationally in Singapore and France, the company said.
