09:52 AM EDT, 07/02/2025 (MT Newswires) -- WeRide ( WRD ) said Wednesday that it has been granted a permit to road test autonomous logistics vehicles in Huangpu, Guangzhou, China.

The permit applies to WeRide's ( WRD ) Robovan W5 and marks its second active road testing approval, following a similar permit granted in Guangzhou's Nansha District in April.

The Robovan W5 boasts a 5.5 cubic meter cargo volume, a maximum payload capacity of 1,000 kilograms, and a driving range of up to 220 kilometers, the company said.

Shares of WeRide ( WRD ) were up more than 3% in recent Wednesday trading.
