07:49 AM EST, 01/14/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Wesdome Gold Mines ( WDOFF ) on Tuesday said gold production increased 39% in 2024 to reach a record 172,034 ounces.
The company produced 49,567 ounces in the fourth quarter, a near 37% increase, and sold 48,700 ounces of gold.
For 2025, Wesdome Gold is forecasting consolidated gold production of between 190,000 and 210,000 ounces at an all-in sustaining cost of US$1,325 - US$1,475 per ounce.
Consolidated 2026 production guidance is expected to be slightly higher, at 195,000 to 220,000 ounces, it said.
"A full year of production from the high-grade Kiena Deep Zone and the addition of ore from Presqu'ile late in the year will be the key drivers of increased production at Kiena, while Eagle River will continue to benefit from development and efficiency improvements," said Anthea Bath, President and CEO of Wesdome. "Together, these operations are expected to drive another substantial increase in annual production to between 190,000 and 210,000 ounces, with costs in the lower half of the industry cost curve, further solidifying our position as a high-quality, all-Canadian, low-cost gold producer."
