07:54 AM EDT, 08/27/2024 (MT Newswires) -- West Red Lake Gold Mines ( WRLGF ) reported on Tuesday "encouraging" drill results from its Madsen mine in Ontario.
Highlights include 17.77 grams per tonne (g/t) gold over 5.5 meters at the McVeigh zone and 7.35 g/t gold over 12.12 meters at the Austin zone.
"The exceptional drill results that continue to be produced from McVeigh are very encouraging and highlight the opportunity that remains in this shallow, high-grade, easily accessible portion of the Madsen deposit," President and CEO Shane Williams said.
"The Austin zone also continues to impress with solid results that help to strengthen our view that the Madsen deposit has plenty of meat left on the bones while also offering significant upside as we continue to access deeper portions of the main deposit," Williams added.
The company expects to complete a pre-feasibility study in the coming months as it aims to restart production at Madsen in the second half of 2025.
