Analysts polled by FactSet expected $2.08.

Revenue for the three months ended Sept. 30, expressed as the sum of net interest income and total noninterest income, was $938.2 million, up from $823.1 million a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $886.7 million.

Shares of Western Alliance rose 4% during after-hours activity.
