09:07 AM EST, 02/24/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Western Digital ( WDC ) said Monday that it has completed the spinoff of its flash business unit SanDisk ( SNDK ) .

Western Digital ( WDC ) said SanDisk ( SNDK ) is now an independent company and will begin trading Monday on the Nasdaq Stock Market under the ticker symbol "SNDK."

The company said it announced plans to separate SanDisk ( SNDK ) from its hard disk drive business in October 2023. Western Digital ( WDC ) said it will concentrate on its hard disk drive business while Sandisk ( SNDK ) will hold its flash business.
