05:21 PM EDT, 06/17/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Western Energy Services ( WEEEF ) on Monday appointed of Gavin Lane as chief financial officer, effective immediately.

The oilfield-services company said Lane has 19 year of executive-level finance experience in both private and publicly traded companies including chief financial officer at Indigena Drilling and BTG Energy and vice-president of finance at Trinidad Drilling.

Western is a progressive energy services company which provides contract drilling services through its division, Horizon Drilling in Canada, and its wholly-owned subsidiary, Stoneham Drilling Corporation in the United States.

The company's shares closed up $0.01 to $2.75 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
