02:02 PM EST, 02/03/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Western Exploration ( WEXPF ) said Tuesday it closed a private placement of share units, raising $9 million.

The company issued 9.8-million units at $0.92 each. Each unit consists of one variable voting share and one-half of a two-year warrant to buy a share for $1.35.

Proceeds will be used to develop the Aura Project in Nevada.

Western Exploration ( WEXPF ) shares were last seen up $0.01 to 0.91 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
