12:31 PM EDT, 05/31/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Western Union ( WU ) and Katapulk said Friday that they will offer money transfer services to Cuba from the US on the Katapulk Marketplace.

The service is available to receivers with Carnet de Identidad identities, and bank accounts or debit cards from Banco Popular de Ahorro, Banco Metropolitano and Banco de Credito y Comercio, according to the companies.

The companies said US customers can remit up to $2,000 per transaction after presenting valid government-issued identification.
