07:28 AM EDT, 06/26/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Westgold Resources ( WGXRF ) late on Wednesday said it has awarded a three-year underground mining contract for the Great Fingall mine in Australia to Barminco.

The contract award is expected to allow Westgold to redeploy its team and equipment at Great Fingall to larger, owner-operated mines, including Beta Hunt in the Southern Goldfields and the Bluebird-South Junction mine in the Murchison.

The Great Fingall mine is a smaller mine, thus lending itself to contract mining, the company said.

Westgold expects to lift productivity and operational outputs with the arrival of the team at the larger operations.
