07:30 AM EDT, 08/21/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Westgold Resources ( WGXRF ) overnight Tuesday announced "outstanding" drill results from the Beta Hunt Mine in western Australia.
Significant intersections from the Fletcher zone at Beta include 4 m @ 22.45g/t gold and 5 m @ 10.95g/t gold.
An additional two drill rigs will be deployed, to accelerate the resource definition program at Fletcher, taking the fleet to three. The Fletcher zone is a parallel lode to the existing Western Flanks system and the company is advancing decline development from Western Flanks towards Fletcher to access a new mining front, notes CEO Wayne Bramwell.
To date, Fletcher has 32 drill holes into this emerging 2km long target and Westgold is mobilising an additional two drill rigs to Beta Hunt to accelerate the program.
The maiden mineral resource estimate is targeted for the late second quarter or early third quarter in 2025.
The Beta Hunt operation was acquired this month by Westgold as part of the merger with Karora Resources.
