Westhaven Advances Exploration Program at Shovelnose Gold Project
Nov 24, 2025 4:25 AM

07:11 AM EST, 11/24/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Westhaven Gold ( WTHVF ) on Monday said it has completed a summer drilling program at the Shovelnose gold project in southern British Columbia.

The company completed 6,202 meters of drilling in 13 holes, more than double the planned 3,000 meters program.

Drilling confirmed the South Zone resource model, with two drill holes intersecting epithermal mineralization as modeled, providing key data to further de-risk the project.

Drilling also confirmed structural offsets and silicification outboard of the main Shovelnose structural trend, highlighting strong potential to host epithermal gold systems.

A preliminary economic assessment in March outlined an 11-year underground mining opportunity delivering an after-tax net present value discounted at 6% of C$454 million and internal rate of return of 43.2% at US$2,400 per ounce of gold.

Westhaven's 2025 team refresh includes new CEO Ken Armstrong, new CFO Zara Boldt, new vice president of exploration Robin Hopkins, as well as environmental, social and governance advisor Allison Rippin Armstrong and technical advisor Fraser MacCorquodale.
