11:16 AM EST, 11/14/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Westhaven Gold ( WTHVF ) edged higher on Thursday after the company provided an update for its Shovelnose gold property in British Columbia.

The company said there are indications of a potentially mineralized epithermal system at the Certes target and surface soil and rock geochemistry has confirmed the presence of high-level gold pathfinder elements.

"The Certes drilling has confirmed the presence of epithermal related veining within an underexplored part of the property. This highlights the potential for additional discoveries within the Shovelnose property," said Fraser MacCorquodale, Technical Advisor.

The company's shares were last seen up $0.005 to $0.12 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
