Westinghouse Air Brake Technologies, Australian Rail Track to Collaborate on Network Interoperability

05:05 PM EDT, 04/17/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Westinghouse Air Brake Technologies ( WAB ) said Wednesday it plans to collaborate with Australian Rail Track to develop interoperability of rail systems in Australia.

Westinghouse said it will investigate the capabilities of Australian Rail's advanced train management system and develop an interoperability standard with the European Rail Traffic Management System Level 2.

The companies will work with relevant stakeholders to outline concepts of operations and define standards for digital solutions, Westinghouse said.
