LONDON, July 17 (Reuters) - U.S. company Westinghouse
said South Korea's KHNP is not authorised to use its reactor
technology for a tender to build Czech nuclear projects without
its agreement.
The Czech government on Wednesday picked Korea Hydro &
Nuclear Power (KHNP) over rival French bidder EDF to build two
nuclear power units after a lengthy tender process.
Westinghouse said KHNP had failed to comply with U.S. export
rules that require authorisation from the U.S. government before
its technology can be shared.
"Westinghouse reserves its rights to challenge this in front
of the relevant national and international jurisdictions," it
said in an emailed statement.
KHNP did not provide immediate comment.
