Westinghouse Wins $248 Million Locomotive Order

01:39 PM EST, 01/28/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Westinghouse Air Brake Technologies ( WAB ) , or Wabtec, said Tuesday it won a $248 million order for Evolution Series ES43ACmi locomotives and services from Winning Consortium Simandou, a Baowu & Winning joint venture.

The locomotive will support its rail operations at the iron ore project in the east of Guinea, with deliveries of locomotives to start this year, Wabtec said.

Winning is developing blocks #1 and #2 of the Simandou iron ore deposit, according to Wabtec.
