WASHINGTON, Aug 12 (Reuters) - Canadian carrier WestJet
Airlines' ground stop at all destination airports has been
canceled, according to a notice on the U.S. Federal Aviation
Administration's website on Tuesday.
The airline had requested a brief ground stop for flights
operating under the WestJet livery and its regional subsidiary
WestJet Encore.
A ground stop is an air traffic control measure that
temporarily halts flights from departing for a specific airport
or region, usually due to safety, weather or operational issues.
Representatives for WestJet, owned by Onex Corp ( ONEXF ),
did not immediately respond to a request for details.
The reason for the ground stop was not immediately clear.
