Instant messaging app, WhatsApp, has rolled out new updates aimed at Android users, with UI-based changes including a redesign of the settings menu, reported The Times of India.
While the new update does not offer any new features, it is able to provide the app with a much cleaner look and this is particularly noteworthy when it comes to the settings menu, the report said, adding that WhatsApp has also added sections below each of the options.
One example of this is the accounts menu. The new update has added icons for all the sections, i.e. privacy, security, two-step verification, change number, and request account info and delete my account. Even, the report added, the tools in the ‘help’ section also come with dedicated icons.
Further, the report said, WhatsApp now offers an exact breakup of data sent, received and storage used under the main headers itself under the 'data and storage usage' option.
