05:08 PM EST, 01/09/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Wheaton Precious Metals ( WPM ) on Thursday said chief financial officer Gary Brown will step down from the role on March 31 and be replaced by the company's current vice president of finance, Vincent Lau.
Brown has been with the company for 17 years.
"Gary's strategic foresight, financial aptitude and disciplined approach to risk management have been essential in establishing Wheaton as a leader in its sector, and he has played a key role in driving Wheaton's industry-leading performance," said chief executive Randy Smallwood.
Lau has served in the vice-president role for 13 years, managing its corporate finance and risk management functions. He holds Chartered Professional Accountant and Chartered Financial Analyst designations.
Wheaton shares closed up $1.05 to $84.25 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
