08:09 AM EDT, 10/15/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Whirlpool (WHR) said Wednesday that it is planning a $300 million investment in its US laundry machine manufacturing facilities.

The investment is expected to add 400 to 600 employees to the headcount of two Ohio washers and dryer production facilities, the company said.

The company said it will receive financial assistance from JobsOhio and Ohio state tax credits from the State of Ohio to support the investments.

Shares of the appliance manufacturer were up more than 1% in recent premarket activity.
