02:12 PM EDT, 07/23/2025 (MT Newswires) -- The White House announced plans to boost US initiatives in artificial intelligence with a focus on innovation, domestic AI infrastructure and international diplomacy and security.

The strategy, dubbed "Winning the AI Race: America's AI Action Plan," outlines 90 federal policy actions across the three focus areas to be rolled out by the Trump administration in the coming weeks and months, the White House said Wednesday in a statement.

The Commerce and State Departments will work with industry partners to provide full-stack AI export packages to allied nations, the White House said. The plan also calls for faster and more efficient permitting for data centers and semiconductor fabrication plants.

The plan proposes "removing onerous federal regulations that hinder AI development and deployment" and invites private-sector feedback on rules to eliminate, the White House said.

The plan also calls for updating federal procurement guidelines to ensure that any contracts using large language models "are objective and free from top-down ideological bias," according to the statement.
