07:52 PM EDT, 08/12/2026 (MT Newswires) -- White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt will leave her role later this month to spend more time with her family, Bloomberg reported Wednesday.
Trump said Leavitt will remain one of his top outside advisers, while the White House has not immediately named a successor, Bloomberg reported.
Leavitt, who has served as press secretary since Trump returned to office in 2025, said the role had taken a toll on her family following the birth of her second child, Bloomberg reported.
