Why Are Sirius XM Shares On The Rise Today?
Aug 20, 2024 1:15 PM

Sirius XM Holdings Inc. ( SIRI ) shares are trading higher Tuesday following the announcement of a multi-year agreement with Alex Cooper, the host and executive producer of the popular podcast “Call Her Daddy.

Why It’s Moving: The agreement grants Sirius XM exclusive rights to Cooper’s flagship podcast, as well as to the Unwell Network’s full roster of shows.

The deal also involves a broader programming development strategy, with new exclusive content slated to debut in 2025. Sirius XM has also secured global ad sales rights for both audio and video formats of the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, along with the Unwell Network’s shows, which include “Hot Mess with Alix Earle,” “Pretty Lonesome with Madeline Argy” and more.

The addition of these shows to Sirius XM’s lineup could enhance its ability to attract both listeners and advertisers.

SIRI Price Action: Sirius XM shares are trading at $3.29, up 8.39% according to Benzinga Pro.
