08:20 AM EDT, 05/03/2024 (MT Newswires) -- WideOpenWest ( WOW ) said Friday it received an unsolicited preliminary acquisition proposal from DigitalBridge Investments and various Crestview entities.

The investors are offering to buy all outstanding WOW shares that Crestview doesn't currently own for $4.80 apiece in cash, WideOpenWest ( WOW ) said, adding its board will form a committee to evaluate the proposal.

Shares of the company were up nearly 22% in recent Friday premarket activity.
