PNGRB has released draft regulations to determine tariffs for third parties. City Gas Distribution companies can decide open access by themselves based on the cost tariff method. The regulations are largely in line with expectations, with some positives for Indraprastha Gas (IGL), Mahanagar Gas (MGL), and Gujarat Gas.

Speaking to CNBC-TV18, Deepak Sawant, Deputy MD at Mahanagar Gas said that they will be cutting prices by more than Rs 1 per kilogram for CNG. He further added that margins will not expand as there is expenditure to be incurred on maintaining the infrastructure.
