06:18 AM EDT, 10/23/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Williams (WMB) and Woodside Energy Group ( WDS ) said Thursday that they have completed a partnership transaction in which Williams acquired a 10% interest in Louisiana LNG and an 80% stake and operatorship in Driftwood Pipeline from Woodside for $250 million.
The transaction took effect Jan. 1, and Williams paid Woodside a total of $378 million, including its proportionate share of the assets' development costs from the effective date, Woodside said in a separate statement.
Woodside said Williams will also contribute its share of the capital expenditures for the LNG facility and pipeline, which is estimated at $1.9 billion.
Woodside will retain the remaining 90% stake in Louisiana LNG and 20% interest in Driftwood Pipeline, the companies said.
Shares of Woodside Energy Group ( WDS ) were up more than 2% in recent premarket activity Thursday.
