Williams Wins Court Injunction Against Energy Transfer in Pipeline-Development Case
Jun 5, 2024 11:41 AM

02:20 PM EDT, 06/05/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Williams (WMB) said Wednesday it won a permanent court injunction to halt Energy Transfer (ET) from interfering in a pipeline project in Louisiana.

The court win in Louisiana's 36th Judicial District Court in Beauregard Parish covers all seven of the proposed crossings under the Louisiana Energy Gateway pipeline, a Williams spokesperson said in a statement to MT Newswires.

Williams is one of multiple developers at odds with Energy Transfer over the development of pipelines crossing its conduits. Energy Transfer blocked such developments over concerns the crossings do not go through proper regulatory reviews.

Energy Transfer didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.

Williams shares rose 0.3% in recent trading Wednesday, and Energy Transfer gained 0.4%.
