Analysts polled by FactSet expected $2.63 per share.

Revenue, expressed as the sum of net interest income and noninterest income, for the quarter ended Sept. 30 was $697.8 million, up from $615.7 million a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $689.5 million.

Shares of Wintrust Financial ( WTFC ) were up 1.9% in after hours trading.
