08:51 AM EDT, 05/14/2024 (MT Newswires) -- WisdomTree's ( WT ) shareholder ETFS Capital said Tuesday that it is "urging" the financial services company's shareholders to vote against the re-election of chairman Win Neuger and chief executive officer Jonathan Steinberg at the firm's upcoming annual shareholder meeting.

ETFS Capital, which owns 10% of WisdomTree ( WT ), said WisdomTree ( WT ) should appoint a "reputable banker" and evaluate all options for unlocking value.

The activist investor said if WisdomTree's ( WT ) board agrees to initiate a strategic process, it will suspend its campaign.

WisdomTree ( WT ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
