08:08 AM EDT, 10/15/2025 (MT Newswires) -- WISeKey International ( WKEY ) said Wednesday that its WISeSat.Space subsidiary, in collaboration with SEALSQ ( LAES ) , will launch a post-quantum-secure satellite aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from the Vandenberg Space Force Base in California.

The company said the satellite will be used to test post-quantum communication protocols from space to build quantum-resilient IoT connectivity.

It will feature SEALSQ's ( LAES ) post-quantum cryptographic chips and WISeKey's ( WKEY ) Root of Trust system to enable secure communication between satellites, ground stations, and IoT devices, the company said.

WISeKey ( WKEY ) said four more post-quantum-ready satellites are planned for deployment in 2026.

Shares of WISeKey International ( WKEY ) were up 6.9%, while SEALSQ ( LAES ) rose 9.9% in recent premarket activity.
