08:27 AM EDT, 04/05/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Woodside Energy's ( WDS ) Chairman Richard Goyder is facing ouster calls from proxy adviser CGI Glass Lewis, which is recommending the company's shareholders vote against the re-election of Goyder, according to a Glass Lewis report Friday.

Glass Lewis also recommended shareholders approve a climate transition action plan at the company's 2024 annual general meeting due to the board's "continuous lack of responsiveness to climate concerns from investors over multiple years."

The report also argued that Woodside's growth strategy and remuneration production practices "disregard" stockholders' expectations and are inconsistent with climate benchmarks.

Woodside Energy's ( WDS ) annual general meeting will be held on April 24.

The company did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
