10:46 AM EDT, 09/16/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Woodward (WWD) plans to spend $200 million to build a 300,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Greer, South Carolina, to produce aircraft wing mechanisms.
"The site is expected to become operational in 2027 and will progressively scale production and hiring in subsequent years to meet market demand," Woodward said Tuesday in a statement. "Initially, most of the factory's capacity will be dedicated to producing spoiler actuation for the Airbus A350."
The facility, located in Spartanburg County, is expected to create 275 jobs in manufacturing, engineering and business operations, with potential for significant expansion, the company said.
