Workers at Brazil's Embraer halt strike and return to activity

SAO PAULO, Sept 18 (Reuters) - Embraer ( ERJ ) workers in Brazil

suspended a strike and returned to work on Thursday, according

to a statement by the metalworkers union from Sao Jose dos

Campos, where the company's headquarters and main production

lines for commercial jets are located.

The strike had been announced on Wednesday due to Embraer's ( ERJ )

firm's "refusal to apply a real increase to wages," the union

said.
