04:20 AM EDT, 07/10/2025 (MT Newswires) -- WPP ( WPP ) said Thursday it has named nonexecutive director Cindy Rose as chief executive, effective Sept. 1.

Rose replaces Mark Read, who will step down as CEO, but support the transition until the end of the year.

Rose serves as chief operating officer of global enterprise at Microsoft ( MSFT ) .

WPP ( WPP ) shares were up 2.7% in recent premarket activity.
