Feb 19, 2025 8:44 AM

GENEVA (Reuters) - The World Trade Organization said on Wednesday discussions on global trade tensions were "constructive", following a meeting in Geneva dominated by the tariff policies of U.S. President Donald Trump.

The majority of the six countries participating in the talks focusing on trade turbulence raised concern about mounting trade tensions and called for restraint, said WTO spokesperson Ismaila Dieng.

The United States, Nicaragua, Namibia, Malaysia, Trinidad and Tobago and Russia took part in the discussions.
