07:52 PM EDT, 06/10/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Former xAI co-founder Igor Babuschkin unveiled River AI, a new startup focused on personalized artificial intelligence agents that learn users' preferences, goals and working styles, Bloomberg reported Wednesday.

The company, staffed by several former xAI and Tesla employees, aims to develop AI tools that augment rather than replace workers. River also offers an API for developers to build customized AI models and plans to expand into hardware and physical infrastructure.

The launch comes amid a broader exodus of talent from xAI, with dozens of employees, including most co-founders, leaving the company in recent months, Bloomberg reported.
