PARIS, Oct 14 (Reuters) - Chinese electric vehicle maker

Xpeng ( XPEV ) is "open to doing more" with Volkswagen

, co-president Brian Gu told Reuters at the Paris car

show on Monday.

Xpeng ( XPEV ) and Volkswagen forged a partnership last year, when

the German carmaker bought 4.99% of Xpeng ( XPEV ) for around $700

million with plans to jointly launch two Volkswagen-branded EV

models by 2026.
