Xperi to Sell Perceive Unit to Amazon for $80 Million; Xperi Shares Jump After Hours

05:01 PM EDT, 08/16/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Xperi ( XPER ) said Friday it agreed to sell its Perceive unit to Amazon ( AMZN ) for $80 million in cash.

Xperi ( XPER ) said it expects the deal to close by the end of the year.

Perceive is a provider of edge inference hardware and software technologies, Xperi ( XPER ) said.

Xperi ( XPER ) shares jumped 13% in recent after-hours trading, while Amazon ( AMZN ) was little changed.
